FIRST LOOK: Katy Perry’s Video For Birthday Is Hilarious!

Enough with the dramatic sets, intense choreography, and smokey eyes. Katy Perry is showing us her humorous side by giving us a glimpse at some of the potentially worst birthdays known to man. Assuming multiple personalities Katy apparently went undercover at these parties unbeknownst to the attendees. Do you buy that? No, we don’t either. That being said, how CUTE are those little girls when they find out it’s her??

It’s nice to see a pure FUN video. No drama. No competition with the other divas. That being said, I don’t think it helps me like the song any as it is pretty forgettable..

Avril Lavigne’s “Hello Kitty” Is An Assault On Your Ears And Eyes

Remember when Avril Lavigne used to be the “it” girl? I mean, was there anything better in your teen years that riding in your car with the windows down blaring Sk8er Boi??? Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like Miss Pop-Punk is hitting the same strides in the year 2014. Her song and video for the song Hello Kitty is both hard to watch (honestly, what are those dance moves??) and listen to. It’s as if she said, “hey – what would happen if I tried to be the most annoying version of Kesha, Lady Gaga, and Gwen Stefani all rolled into one”. Well I have the answer for you Avril, it’s crap. I could barely make it past the 1:00 before my ears started to bleed…

Better luck next time?

Glee Hits The Right Notes With Funny Girl

glee-recap-01_612x380Glee has really hit a stride since returning from hiatus and focusing solely on our NYC crew. The writing seems fresh, the cast has great chemistry, and the performances finally feel a part of the story line again vs. random breaks from the plot. Last night was no exception to the trend and we FINALLY got to  see Rachel perform in the premiere of her first Broadway show - Funny Girl.

The highly successful drama paved the way for HBO in a way, getting recognition from fans and critics for the cable network. That being said, the past few seasons have lacked the same enthusiasm as plots got more and more convoluted and frankly, vampires are so 2012.

Take a look at the clip for the final season of True Blood above. It’s sure to be a dramatic and action packed season. Let’s hope our favorite mythical friends fair okay (Especially Alcide because dayum – he’s fine)!
